TradeSentry is operated by TradeSentry Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, contact us at contact@tradesentry.app.

2. What Data We Collect

During the waitlist phase, we collect only:

• Email address — provided voluntarily when you join the waitlist.
• Waitlist position and join timestamp — recorded automatically when you sign up.
• Basic usage data — anonymous analytics such as page visits and button clicks (see Section 6 on Cookies & Analytics).

We do not collect your name, payment details, phone number, or any other personal information at this stage.

3. Why We Collect It (Legal Basis)

We process your email address on the basis of legitimate interest and consent — you have actively chosen to join our waitlist. Specifically, we use your email to:

• Notify you when TradeSentry launches.
• Send your exclusive waitlist discount code.
• Provide occasional product updates in the lead-up to launch.

You can withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send you, or by emailing contact@tradesentry.app.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your email address for as long as you remain on the waitlist or until TradeSentry has launched and you have had a reasonable opportunity to use your discount code. After that, waitlist data is deleted or anonymised.

If you request deletion before launch, we will remove your data within 30 days.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share it with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate TradeSentry, solely for that purpose:

• Upstash — serverless Redis database used to store the waitlist.
• Vercel — cloud hosting provider for our website.
• Email delivery providers used to send launch notifications (to be confirmed at launch).

All processors are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with applicable data protection law.

6. Cookies & Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies. Here is what we currently use or may use:

Essential Cookies

These are required for the website to function correctly. They cannot be disabled. They do not collect personal information.

Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly analytics tools (such as Vercel Analytics) to understand how visitors interact with our site — for example, which pages are visited and where traffic comes from. This data is aggregated and anonymous; no individual is identified. No personal data is passed to analytics providers.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising tracking at this time.

Managing Cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from using the waitlist signup form. For more information, visit aboutcookies.org.

7. Your Rights (UK & EU GDPR)

Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data.
• Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Right to data portability — request your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@tradesentry.app. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are based in the UK.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Your email is stored securely and access is restricted to authorised personnel only.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as TradeSentry grows and launches. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will notify waitlist members by email.
